The Croatian company DOK-ING, known for its mechanized demining vehicles, has introduced the Komodo, a new super heavy and multipurpose ground drone.

The tracked vehicle, which can be used in both military and civilian operations, is designed to provide support in fire missions, logistics, and engineering.

Although technical details have not yet been disclosed, the Komodo stands out with its robust chassis with five wheels, electro-optical sensors, and remote control capability, as well as a command station mounted on a Volvo truck.

Komodo is one of the largest ground drones in Europe in its category and is being developed in partnership with the German giant Rheinmetall, with collaboration established in November 2024. The system features surveillance cameras distributed across various points on the vehicle and appears to incorporate parts from commercial heavy equipment, suggesting a structure designed for demanding field operations.

Founded in 1992, DOK-ING is the largest private company in the region specializing in demining technologies. Its portfolio includes electric vehicles, robotic systems, and unmanned platforms. In September 2024, the company expanded its operations with an office in Ukraine, where the local partner A3TECH-UKRAINE already assembles MV-10 demining systems with a capacity of up to 60 units per year.
